Transcript:

Speaker 1: Okay we’re showing parallel parking.

Step 1: Coming along side of the vehicle indicating left, checking mirrors, and checking all around, it’s all safe, stopping about half a meter distance from the car next to us.

Step 2: Coming alongside nice and straight.  Still with the indicator on the left, selecting reverse, slowly moving backwards, looking all around to make sure it’s safe and still with indicator on the left.

Step 3: Bringing the back of our vehicle just past the back of the other vehicle.  From this position locking the wheel fully anticlockwise.  Looking all around to make sure it’s still all safe moving backwards.

Step 4: Moving backwards until the car is pointing about two o’clock 45-degree angle.  From this position we’re going to straighten the wheel.

Step 5: In the straight ahead position, indicator back on the left, moving backwards slowly, looking all around making sure it’s all safe, keeping about half a meter distance with the back from the curb, turning the wheel fully clockwise.

Step 6: Checking all around indicating left, slowly moving backwards, looking all around, behind, in front, all around our vehicle.  Moving backwards until the car is fully straight.

Step 7: Once the car is fully straight straighten the wheel up, put the car in drive, moving forward slowly until we’ve got a nice distance behind the other vehicle.

Step 8: Putting the car in park, putting the handbrake on.

Step 9: Okay, when we’ve finished our parallel park and we put the car in reverse, release the handbrake, indicator still on the left, slowly reversing backwards, looking behind, all around making sure it’s safe, giving our selves a little bit of distance from the car in front of us.

Step 10: Once we have enough distance we select drive, indicator on right, checking all around, mirrors, blind spot, turning the wheel fully clockwise, checking all around making sure it’s safe, slowly moving out, taking the wheel back anticlockwise and moving off.
